Classic Tomato Soup

The best tomato soup recipe ever!

Yummy stuff. I added all the can of beans, though.

This was excellent! The only thing I did differently is add chopped garlic to the onions after I sautéed them. We did use fresh basil at the end, as recommended, as well. We had the soup with grilled cheese and were extremely satisfied!

This recipe was delicious. The beans made the soup creamy without adding heavy cream. Better protein and less fat!

Loved it...I didn't have northern beans so I used black beans. Also I didn't cook the onions first I just blended them with the tomatoes and cooked them all together (for time saving) added garlic. It was awesome the whole family loved it (including 3 kids)

I used shallot instead of onion, added carrots and some mini bell peppers I needed to use, which gave it a distinctive pepper flavor. The beans definitely make this soup heartier without changing the favor too much. I made the entire thing in the Instant pot, high pressure for 15 minutes which was perfect. It was great with grilled cheese and will make again for sure!

Unbelievably yummy and creamy!

My husband can't have dairy, so creating a "creamy" tomato soup has been challenging - non-dairy creamy options often aren't great for things like this. This soup felt so creamy without any dairy! We would definitely make this again and make a double recipe next time. We accidentally made too many beans, so for the leftovers we just added the cooked beans to the soup - also fantastic!

I love soup with cream, but my body doesn't as much. This soup tastes like it has cream, and is our family's favorite recipe (which is saying something, because I've tried about 6 up until now)

Love this soup! It freezes really well. I had some celery that needed to be used. Added it at the beginning with the onion. It definitely added depth of flavour!

Used canned crushed tomatoes. The beans add protein!!!

I left out the beans and added a little Greek yoghurt. I will never have tinned tomato soup again, so easy, so tasty.
