Grilled Fish Fillet
Notes, Tips & Tricks I have adapted this recipe from "Fillet Kakap Panggang" Jamuan Istimewa 6 Menu Hidangan - Primarasa, an indonesian cookbook. My short note about this dish, It's easy to prepare but tastes real good!!. The combination between Kecap Manis & Lime Juice tastes a bit different from other indonesian sauces which usually contain hot chilli or peanut. And one more thing.....as far as experience told me, the sauce meets also european's taste lol ;-) Tips : You can use different sort of fish but white fish fillets are much tastier. Ingredients Ingredients for 2 persons: 500 gr/1 lb 2 oz white fish fillet. ex: tilapia For Marinade: 2 tsp lime juice 3 tsp chilli sauce 3 tsp indonesian sweet soya sauce / kecap manis 2 tsp Butter For Sauce: 3 tsp indonesian sweet soy Sauce / kecap manis 1 shallot, finely chopped 1 large red chillies, finely chopped 1 tsp lime juice Step-by-Step Instructions: 1 Cut the fish fillet into a rectangular shape. Put aside. 2 Put all the marinating ingredients in a bowl and stir to mix. 3 Marinate the fish and keep aside in a fridge for 15 minutes. 4 Grill the fish in a grill pan. Turn it over to fry the other side until both sides are well cooked. 5 Put all ingredients for the sauce in a small sauce pan and simmer it shortly just to get it warm. 6 Serve the fish right away with rice or potato, sauce and salad.
