2 poundspotatoes

1 teaspoongarlic powder
1 teaspoonoregano
6 tablespoonsolive oil
1 teaspoonsalt
1.5 poundsminced beef
5 % fat
1onion
finely diced
2carrots
medium, finely diced
2garlic cloves
finely grated
1 tablespoontomato paste
1beef stock cube
1 teaspoonbasil
18 ouncespassata
2 ouncesmozzarella cheese
grated
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Sauté the onions and carrots in a frying pan until soft, then add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Add ground beef and cook until brown.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste, stock cube (diluted in a little hot water), herbs and passata and cook over a low heat for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better).
Step 5
Meanwhile, mix the cubed potatoes with the seasonings and oil.
Step 6
Bake the potatoes in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Step 7
Top the bolognese with the cooked potatoes and add the grated cheese, then place in the oven on grill until the cheese is melted and golden. Serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
