Damper On A Stick | Easy Camping Recipe

Light and fluffy with delicious smoky flavours from the campfire. This simple damper is great when eaten nice and hot with sweet or savoury spreads like vegemite or golden syrup. You can also serve them as a side to dunk into your campfire soup or stew. So easy to prepare and cook, this is a great activity for the kids to get involved in while you're camping! Use 2 long metal skewers or pre-soaked wooden skewers/chopsticks to thread the damper on to. Want to make sweet damper? Simply add a little extra sugar to the dough and mix through some choc chips or dried fruit, or try adding some swirls of Nutella or jam through the dough without completely mixing it through. For those of you who don't like camping, we've also given you oven instructions. Just see the notes at the end of the recipe.
