Chicken with Bacon Mustard Sauce

Excellent dish! Everything added made this so flavorful. I would suggest that after the chicken cooks the first time, make a roux and then add the broth. As it cooked, I added more broth to match the consistency I wanted. Chicken was moist and flavorful.

I'm somewhat confused about what the consistency of the sauce is meant to be. I had to cook it down significantly for it to stop being super watery (it is literally just chicken stock with a little bit of mustard that falls off the chicken breasts, you're left with almost no sauce at all by the time it thickens up), but the pan in the recipe image is flooded. I'd suggest making a roux in the pan before adding the stock if you want tons of sauce. The recipe is great otherwise, super easy and doesn't require a lot of ingredients but still very tasty. Also don't salt your chicken, mustard already has a ton of salt.

Added Tony's and a pinch of garlic salt, a splash of HWC because I like a thicker sauce, cook onion and bacon together, marinate chicken longer. WAS DELICIOUS!! I used thin sliced boneless skinless chicken breast. Served with fried cabbage with bacon and onion.

I wouldn't cook the chicken the second time, just cook it in the pan first and let it simmer with everything else after for a little. Mine was overcooked

There is sooo much flavor in this dish

So good! I prepped it a bit differently. I threw the onion in with the half cooked bacon and added mushrooms at this time as well. Removed it all to a plate. Then browned the chicken. While all that cooked, I had frozen broccoli and cauliflower in the oven thawing and cooking at 400. I took the sheet pan out and topped the broccoli and cauliflower with the chicken. Then topped the chicken with the bacon, mushrooms and onions. Then poured the drippings from cooking the chicken all over. I topped it all with a drizzle of mustard, mayo and broth blended into a sauce. Amazing flavor and the veggies soaked up the sauce well.

Probably put a little less fluid in and probably marinate the chicken for longer
