Chicken Shawarma (Middle Eastern)

This is a great recipe, and thumbs up from the entire family. Our gauge for good food is when our youngest wants it for a "home lunch" for school...and this one made the list! I've never made schwarma so I followed the recipe to the letter, and it was delicious! We ate it with the tahini sauce, so we may try the yogurt next round, but so far I wouldn't make any changes to the recipe.

I make this a lot and it's a favourite with the family (all adults). Can leave to marinate whilst at work then cook in the air fryer.

Yall this was SO GOOD. Super easy. I used pita bread to serve on and sliced it like a pizza. Used boneless skinless chicken thighs and put it in the air fryer for 30 minutes and it came out perfect. The tops burnt a little giving it a grilled vibe. Will def make it again!

This has become a family favorite. I serve it with homemade pitas. We rarely have leftovers because it's so good.

These had great flavor! It was storming, so I baked these. They came out moist and tasty.

I was in a time crunch and marinated the meat for 30 mins and cooked it with an indoor grill. The spice blend was really good. I added harissa spice blend as well. The entire family liked it.

Great recipe. Very like the smells on the street when on holiday in Turkey and tastes like a genuine Turkish shish kebab.

Made this according to the instructions and left it to marinade overnight and cooked the next evening for dinner. We found it really bland, it was really disappointing as it had fantastic reviews.

Easy & succulent. Sometimes I replace all of the marinade spices with NY Shuk shawarma blend (1/4 cup per 2 lbs. boneless chicken), adding to the garlic, lemon juice & oil (also add 2 tsp ground cardamom). I try to limit marinade time to 3-4 hours so chicken thighs don’t become rubbery. Kababs in turkey air fryer: cut each pound of thighs into 12 -18 even pieces, cut 1 large onion into 4 wedges, then cut each wedge in half crosswise. Thread onto skewers, alternating chicken & onion, starting & ending with onion (3 skewers per pound), cook 35-40 min.
