Instant Pot® Chicken and Dumplings

Delicious

Turned out great and is super easy. I think I prefer the flavor of this recipe over doing a crockpot version. I just wish the chicken turned out more tender like in the crockpot.

It was really yummy, and everyone, including a 3 and 9 yo, loved it! I did change the last part, after I did the dumplings and stirred some in, I left a few to cover the top and did another 4 min in the pressure cooker.

Next time I want to seasoning the chicken. Otherwise it was really good.

Good. I made it on the stovetop and used crescent rolls instead of biscuits. Added a little garlic salt.

I made some adjustments based on what I hand on hand versus shopping for heavy cream with a dairy alergy in the house. I also didn't have celery or fresh carrots. My substitution were, cream of mushroom spup for the thickener, celery sead, and canned cut carrots but also added corn and peas. Also increased the chicken to 3 chicken brests and added garlic.

I made this over a regular stove top. I also used Bisquick instead of the suggested. Then I doubled the broth and heavy cream. Turned out well.

Like others said, this takes longer than 20 minutes, but I used a chopper to help quicken the cutting of onion, celery, and carrot. Allot 45 minutes at least. Used chicken thighs instead of breasts, so good. I also added frozen peas right before adding the biscuit pieces and that was a nice addition! This was delicious and a big hit with my family! I will do this again but next time double the recipe for more leftovers.

This takes way more than 20 minutes to make by the way, it takes em 30-45 but I'm also not a fast chopper. It is really good though.

Oddly enough it tastes a bit sweet. Overall it's a quick and easy recipe for a mid-week dinner! Next time we may add shredded cheese (I added grated Parmesan to my serving) and maybe garnish with some fresh parsley.

As others said, I added about 1/2 tsp more poultry seasoning and some pepper, rosemary, and garlic powder. Really liked it, but will follow the additional suggestions of adding some peas next time for a pop of color and texture.

Everyone is right.. only thing this recipe needs is more of everything so you can eat more of everything. Yum.

We love this recipe! I like to double the celery and carrots, and add 1-2 cups of frozen peas at the same time I add the biscuits. I swap the heavy cream for whatever milk I have on hand.

Made this in a Dutch oven and it turned out great! I added: A little more salt 1 tsp. minced garlic 1 cup frozen peas (just before the cream) I also used half & half instead of heavy cream. To make it gluten-free, I made a batch of gluten-free Bisquick biscuits, then dropped tablespoons of batter over the soup.

Really good recipe. Next time, I will cut the amount of poultry seasoning and add black pepper

This was delicious and easy. Prep takes longer than cook time. Add other spices as suggested. Added cornstarch to thicken. Looking forward to leftovers.

It was fantastic. Easy and quick to make. I just need to get better at cooking the dumplings all the way through without wanting to eat it too fast

I had never make chicken and dumplings before and this recipe made it so easy. So tasty and rich. Perfect for a rainy day!

Added garlic, rosemary, thyme, cumin, cardamom, salt, pepper....spice to your taste.

Sauteed the chicken for a minute or 2 before adding liquid. Tossed dumplings in flour. Added more chicken broth and heavy cream. Also added frozen peas before adding dumplings in.
