I didn't have broccoli so I julienned baby carrots and tossed them with the red pepper strips. I used honey instead of dates, and I used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. I'm serving it over brown rice. It's fantastic, and so simple!
NOTE: The recipe makes a LOT of sauce. I'll cut the amounts in half (at least) for next time. I always end up with two cups of sauce left after we've eaten everything else.
