Instructions
Step 1
1. Whisk together flour, cornmeal, spices, almond milk, and water in a bowl to form the batter. If using pickle juice, which I highly recommend, add about a splash of it to the batter.
Step 2
2. Break cauliflower into large florets, trimming the stems so the florets are more rounded in shape
Step 3
3. Dip florets into the batter using a fork and shake or wipe off any excess batter.
Step 4
4. In an air fryer, place dipped florets into the basket. Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for 20 minutes. If using an oven, bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Make sure to flip halfway in both the oven and air fryer.
Step 5
5. Melt coconut oil in a microwave and combine it with the hot sauce. Once the wings are finished baking, toss them into the sauce, saving a bit for later. Transfer back to the oven or air fryer for an additional 5-10 minutes until crispy.
Step 6
6. Toss the finished wings back into the bowl with the remaining sauce. Serve with ranch or dipping sauce of choice.
