Instructions
Step 1
1. Peel and chop vegetables into small pieces and mince the garlic.
Step 2
2. Chop the bacon into slices.
Step 3
3. Cook the bacon and remove.
Step 4
4. Add in ground beef and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 5
5. Add in the chopped onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Step 6
6. Once onions are translucent (~5 minutes) add in potatoes and carrots. Combine well.
Step 7
7. Add 1 can of el pato sauce and 1/2 cup of beef broth. Mix well.
Step 8
8. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 9
9. Mix in cooked bacon.
Step 10
10. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
Step 11
11. If needed, add seasonings to taste.
Step 12
12. Serve with a side of beans. Each bowl will get 1.25 c beef mixture & 1/2 c beans.
