Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the prawns by removing their heads, peeling off the shell and legs, and deveining their bodies. Rinse the prawns with cold water and pat them dry.
Step 2
Cook the tagliatelle pasta al dente according to the instructions on the packet.
Step 3
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter in a medium-high heat pan.
Step 4
Once the butter is melted, add the chilli flakes, followed by the minced garlic. Stir well and cook until the garlic releases its aroma (about 1-2 minutes).
Step 5
Add the prawns to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they change colour. Then, flip them to cook the other side.
Step 6
Once the prawns are cooked, add the cooked pasta and half a cup of pasta water to the pan. Mix until everything is well combined and remove the pan from the heat. Add more pasta water if needed to achieve your desired consistency.
Step 7
Now, add the lemon zest and juice, grated Parmesan cheese, and finely chopped parsley to the pasta. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined.
