perfect for a quick lunch!!
- may need to adjust the amount of miso paste according to taste
- also may need to adjust the amount of pasta according to portion size (this makes pretty considerable portions)
- don’t salt the pasta water too much because of the miso paste
- use a pasta shape that holds sauce well (i like fusilli)

Ingredients
2 servings
3 cupspasta
1 tspgarlic oil
2 Tbspunsalted butter
1 Tbspmiso paste
¼ cuppasta water
pepper
according to taste
spring onion
for garnish
optional
Instructions
Step 1
1. Cook the paste in boiling, salted water. Reserve some of the pasta water before straining.
Step 2
2. Heat the garlic oil in a pan on medium heat. If including chicken, fry it in the oil and remove from pan when cooked.
Step 3
3. Add the butter to the pan and stir slightly until melted.
Step 4
4. Add the miso paste and mix it with the butter.
Step 5
5. Add the pasta (+ the chicken back in) and mix. Season with black pepper according to taste.
Step 6
6. Add a splash of the reserved pasta water. Continue mixing until combined and all of the paste is covered.
Step 7
Portion into bowls and garnish with sliced green onion.
