Step 1
Prepare the shirazi salad - see previous post
Step 2
For the chickpeas, get 1tbsp of oil into a frying pan, then add the chickpeas. Fry for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Add the harissa, garlic powder, oregano, zatar, paprika (or whatever dried herbs you have), then season with salt + pepper. Cook until softened (5-10 minutes).
Step 4
For the tahini sauce, mix tahini, harissa, lemon juice, garlic, balsamic (optional), then loosen with some water.
Step 5
To serve, toast pitta, then spread the tahini sauce, add the chickpeas + shirazi salad, pickled peppers + enjoy!
