Ingredients

6 ozdried yolk free noodles
2 teaspoonsolive oil
4 x 4 ozchicken link sausage apple
3 cupsgreen cabbage
coarsely chopped, not shredded
2onions
medium, chopped
1green bell pepper
medium, chopped
2carrots
medium, thinly sliced
1garlic cloves
medium, minced
½ teaspoondried thyme
¼ teaspoonsalt
pepper
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, prepare the noodles to package directions
Step 2
Meanwhile, breast a Dutch oven over medium high heat. Pour in the oil and swirl to coat the bottom. Cook the sausage for 2-3 minutes, or until richly browned, turning frequently. Transfer the sausage to a plate. Cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.
Step 3
In the Dutch oven, cook the cabbage, onions, bell pepper, carrots, garlic and thyme for 4-5 minutes, it until the edges of the vegetables begin to brown, stirring frequently. Stir in salt and pepper.
Step 4
Add the sausages and any accumulated juices. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered for 3 minutes so the flavors mingle and the sausages heat slightly.
Step 5
To serve, spoon noodles onto plates. Spoon the sausage mixture over the noodles.
