Instructions
Step 1
Melt 1tbsp butter in a large pot
Step 2
Brown sausage in butter. Add sage to sausage midway through
Step 3
Remove sausage from pan
Step 4
Add a bit of olive oil to the pot. Cook celery and onion in the oil until somewhat soft
Step 5
Add mushrooms, 1tbsp butter, a dash of salt, and chicken broth to the pot
Step 6
Cook down, stirring occasionally until veggies are soft
Step 7
Coat veggies in tomato paste then add sausage back to the pot
Step 8
Empty tomato sauce into the pan with the oregano and basil
Step 9
Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
Step 10
Remove lid and simmer for another 10 minutes
Step 11
While sauce is simmering, cook pasta according to instructions
Step 12
Serve with Parmesan
