Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot Brown diced bacon over medium heat.
Once browned remove bacon to paper towel lined plate. Remove bacon grease, leaning 2 TBS remaining in pot
Step 2
Add diced onion, and black pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes
Step 3
Add corn, potatoes, and milk to the pot, and bring to a simmer. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes, until potatoes are fork tender.
Step 4
Remove 2 cups of soup to a blender and blend until smooth. Add back to the pot to thicken the soup.
Step 5
Serve with bacon, sour cream, shredded cheese, and green onions
