Homemade BBQ spice rub

Pulled Pork is one of my favorite dishes to make, especially when we have company over. It’s incredibly easy to prepare and always a crowd pleaser. We like to serve it in various ways, such as in tacos, pulled pork sandwiches with BBQ sauce and slaw, or simply shredded with sides. It’s also the perfect meal for game days! Follow for more easy recipes! Recipe below 👇🏼 Ingredients: 1 pork butt (bone-in or boneless) - I used a very small one today, about 2 3/4 lbs, and it cooked for approximately 5 hours. Keep in mind that cooking times will vary; a 5lb pork butt will take around 8 hours in the oven. BBQ spice rub to coat the meat Homemade BBQ spice rub: 1 tablespoon each of paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, and pepper 1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes Directions: 1. Preheat the oven to 250°F. 2. If making the spice rub, mix all the ingredients together. This will yield more than you need for this recipe, so save the remaining rub for chicken, ribs, or your next pulled pork! 3. Line a sheet pan with foil and place a rack on it for the pork to roast on. Season the pork liberally with the BBQ rub on all sides and place it on the rack. 4. Roast for 4-10 hours, depending on the size of the pork. You’ll know it’s ready when the outside has developed a nice crust, and the internal temperature is between 190-195°F. 5. Once done, let the pork cool slightly before using two forks to shred the meat. Then ENJOY!
