Step 1
In a dry skillet, lightly toast the white and black sesame seeds, sansho and poppy seeds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them. Transfer to a bowl and let them cool completely.
Step 2
Add all other ingredients to a small pan and bring to a quick boil. Reduce the heat immediately and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Place all of the ingredients along with the nori in a spice/coffee grinder and pulse until coarsely ground, mix with awamori
Step 4
Let cool in a dark place a for a few weeks.
