Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400⁰. Mince the garlic. Ensure bacon is pre-cooked at least partially. Rub butter on a small baking pan about 8" x 6" in size.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the ketchup, eggs, garlic, and all the spices. The spices can be adjusted to taste; I prefer a high-pepper and red flake content. The consistency should be a liquid paste.
Step 3
In another bowl, mix the ground beef with about 2/3 of the mixture. Take half of the beef mix and layer it onto the prepared baking dish. Layer the beef with the bacon and then add the remaining beef as a third layer.
Step 4
Pour the remaining ketchup mixture onto the beef, and crumble the bread on top evenly throughout.
Step 5
Place baking dish in the oven and cook at 400⁰ for about 30 minutes. If your dish was shallow as directed, it may take around 25 minutes, whereas if you used a deep dish, such as a bread dish, it may take 40-45 minutes. If there is lots of liquid buildup as the dish cooks (which may happen in a deep dish) remove momentarily from the oven and drain of fluids before putting back in the oven to finish cooking.
