Fluffy bread filled with cheese slathered with butter or better, garlic butter!! i’ll put both butter ingredients and their steps. Also the starter is like 15 minutes TOPS trust me!
It supposed to make 12 small buns but I made big ones and it makes 7, filled 4 with cheese and three empty.
This is super delicious for breakfast, brunch even dinner rolls.. I mean thanksgiving/christmas side dishes ideas?!
I love it for snacking because i get hungry sometimes and this would fill me right up. You won’t regret making this ❤️

Ingredients
4 servings
Starter
Dough
1 ½ cupflour
all purpose or self rising
⅓ cupoil
olive or canola oil works too in my case
2 tspsalt
1egg
for brushing
Cheese filling
Finishing: Garlic Butter
Finishing: Butter
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven 365 F/180 C, on fan forced mode and prepare your baking paper and tray.
Starter
Step 2
Prepare a big bowl because this will be your main mixing bowl.
Bowl
Step 3
Mix all the starter ingredients and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Bowl
Spatula
yeast1 Tbsp
sugar1 Tbsp
water1 cup
flour1 cup
Dough
Step 4
after 15 minutes, add all the dough ingredients to the starter and mix until incorporated.
Step 5
Now you’re gonna knead the dough. At first dough is going to be sticky, but as you knead the dough for several minutes it’ll come together.
Step 6
You can use flours to make it non stick just don’t use too much!
Step 7
I kneaded for around 3-5 minutes, until the dough is smooth. You can knead it in the bowl if it’s big enough, but kneading it at a floured surface would be better.
Step 8
After that, let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes.
Step 9
After 15, I kneaded and shape the dough into a big smooth circle and let it rest for overnight. THIS IS OPTIONAL because you can immediately use the dough too! I just literally made the dough at 1 am in the morning.
Step 10
Mix the cheese filling in a separate bowl and set aside.
Step 11
To make the cheese bottoms, separates the dough into 7-12 pieces (like mine 7).
Step 12
Flatten the dough and fill with the cheese fillings, close the dough by pinching the bottoms and try to make a round clean shape. Set aside in the baking tray.
Step 13
After all dough is rounded and filled, let it rest for 10 minutes before brushing with egg wash.
Step 14
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Butter / Garlic Butter
Step 15
For butter, mix soften butter and add salt. set aside.
You can add dried herbs too but I didn’t.
salt
Step 16
If using garlic butter, mix the soften butter, dried herbs, grated garlic and salt. set aside.
unsalted butter2 Tbsp
clove garlic1
salt
Step 17
After the bread is done slather the finishing butter / garlic butter, it’s melt off the top and make it glossy and the more flavourful.
Step 18
Enjoy!
