Instructions
Step 1
Coat the fish pieces worth lemon juice, turmeric, and salt on both sides. Keep aside.

Step 2
Soak the red dried chilies in hot water for 10 minutes. Once they become soft, add it to a blender with all other ingredients for the masala and blend to a smooth paste.

Step 3
Apply 2 tbsp of masala onto the fish pieces on both sides and let it marinate for 15 minutes. Keep the remaining masala aside.
Step 4
Fry the fish on both sides with lots of coconut oil. Fry on medium heat. Frying time depends on the size and thickness of the fish.

Keep the fish aside. To the same pan, add more oil. Add in the curry leaves and chopped onion. Saute till golden.

Add in all the remaining masala paste. Cover and cook until all the oil separates.
Step 7
Add the fish back into the pan and cook on both sides for just 1 minute. Garnish with lemon juice and coriander (optional).
