Step 1
Using an electric mixer . 500ml of heavy cream into your mixing bowl . Using the whisk attachment whisk the cream on high . This does take time so please be patient . Once you reach the whipping cream stage KEEP going . You may feel like giving up but it will work I promise you . It will start to turn yellow and separate . Once the butter has separated in the bowl the remaining liquid is now butter milk and can be saved for another recipe . Remove the butter from the bowl and squeeze out any liquid . Repeat this step over and over until as much moisture is gone . Rinse in cold water for a few minutes . Now your butter is ready to be used or store in fridge for up to 3 weeks . This should yield around 250g of butter .
