Instructions
Step 1
Cut the onions into thin strips, add to sauce pan with the butter. Allow to boil, then reduce to simmer.
Step 2
Make 6 cups of instant potatoes. Add in the 2 C of cheese while still hot, along with garlic powder, salt and pepper
Step 3
Cut up the kielbasa into small pieces
Step 4
Boil the lasagna noodles. Drain
Step 5
In a 9×12 casserole pan add a small amount of the onion butter mixture to cover the bottom
Step 6
Layer noodles, then the mashed potatoes, kielbasa, onions and butter. Finish the layer with cheese.
Step 7
Repeat layers until dish is full. Top with cheese and buttered onions.
Step 8
Bake at 375 for 30 min or until bubbley. I suggest placing the casserole on a cookie pan to protect the oven from the possibility of the lasagna boiling over
Step 9
Serve with the remaining butter and onions, season to taste
