Step 1
Heat Dutch oven over medium high heat with olive oil and butter. Add kielbasa sausage and sauté, stirring occasionally, until browned. Remove sausage from pot and set aside. Leave drippings in pan.
Step 2
In same Dutch oven, add cabbage. Salt and pepper as desired. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until tender.
Step 3
Add onion, sauerkraut, brown sugar, mustard, caraway seed, and salt and pepper to the pot. Stir. Cook, stirring occasionally, until everything is sautéed and combined. Salt and pepper as desired.
Step 4
Add kielbasa sausage back to pot. Stir. Heat for 2 minutes. Place lid on pot, turn off burner, and let sit until ready to serve. Serve with Swiss cheese sprinkled on top.
