Instructions
Step 1
Fill large pot with cold water about halfway.
Step 2
Add salt to cold water and stir until dissolved
Step 3
Cut potatoes into 4 cubes and add to water
Step 4
Heat on high until water boils and then turn heat to medium and put a lid on the pot.
Step 5
While potatoes are boiling soften butter in microwave for 10 minutes on power level 1.
Step 6
Pour milk into small pot and turn heat to low.
Step 7
When potatoes are done, strain and add back to the pot
Step 8
Add both milk and softened butter to the pot.
Step 9
Use a potatoe masher to hand mash the potatoes for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 10
Serve
