Homemade Maple Peanut Butter

1 step
Prep:10min
This incredibly simple peanut butter recipe will have you wondering why you haven't always made peanut butter from scratch. It is much cheaper than buying a specialty natural peanut butter, tastes amazing and you control what goes in it.

Instructions

Step 1
1.Place peanuts in a 7 cup food processor and turn on low. Continue running food processor until you achieve the consistency you prefer. I prefer a slightly textured peanut butter so I stopped the food processor at this stage but if you prefer your peanut butter more creamy continue to run the food processor. ( the peanut butter goes through a few different stages, first becomes crumbs, then a paste, then a ball and finally resembles peanut butter.) This may take 5-10 minutes of running the food processor. 2. Once you achieve your consistency add the maple syrup and run until the syrup is well blended.
