In Ireland we live a good flavorful bread that can be made in minutes and this fluffy Pan Bread is no exception. It takes 3 minutes to mix and is cooked and on the table in under 30 minutes

Instructions
Step 1
Sift flour baking soda and a good pinch of salt into a large bowl then whisk together

Step 2
Heat a pan on medium low heat then Add 2/3 of the buttermilk then make a claw hand and loosely bring the flour and buttermilk together . Add more buttermilk little by little until you can see no more fry flour

Step 3
Flour a work surface and turn out the dough then sprinkle the top with some flour . Lift the undersides of the dough over up onto itself then flip it over and flatten it out into a disc about 2 cm thick
Step 4
Cut the dough into 4 ( Farls mean forths ) then sprinkle a little flour on the pan and add in the dough. Cook for 12-15 minutes on medium low heat then flip and cook about 10 more minutes . It gets lovely and fluffy and puffy . Insert a cocktail stick / skewer and when it comes out clean it’s ready to serve . Spread some butter or anything you like really it will be delicious
