Chicken noodle soup

Add a bit of lemon juice for a light, summery soup!

Instructions

Step 1
Clean chicken in salt water. Cube or shred the chicken, brown it in the pot if you want, then add chopped carrots (if you're using canned, add those towards the end of cooking) chopped celery, chopped onion, garlic, chicken broth powder, a bit of butter, and water or chicken broth. Add seasonings except for the salt and seasoned salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer, cover with a lid, simmer for at least 30 min, an hour or more is better. Remove the lid and taste the soup. Add more seasoning if needed, and add salt & seasoned salt. Add egg noodles, cook about 10 - 15 min. If you're adding lemon juice do that now, (only add a few drops at a time until it tastes right, it's easy to add too much!) then serve.
