shakshuka is my favorite north african dish and it's so easy to make. you can throw everything into it and it'll just be as good.

Instructions

Step 1
heat oil in a pan on medium heat. add the aromatics (garlic and onion), cook for 5 minutes or until its browning
Step 2
pour a can of tomato puree, and the diced tomato, and break the tomato with masher (u can use wooden spoon to break it, but make sure to lower the heat when u break it bc it'll take longer than masher)
Step 3
add the seasonings, stir until its properly mixed and wait until it simmers (around 5 minutes)
Step 4
make a hole in ur sauce and crack the eggs into it
Step 5
cover the pan with a lid for 5-8 minutes depending how creamy u want ur egg to be
Step 6
garnish with cheese and parsley (optional)
Step 7
eat with toasted bread
