I made this when I was craving something a bit creamy and cheesy.

Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil in medium pot on medium-low heat. When hot, add diced onion. Saute 5 - 7 minutes, until translucent, stirring as necessary.
Step 2
Add dry spices and minced garlic, stirring constantly, until frangrant, about one minute.
Step 3
Add coconut milk and stir. Simmer on low for 10-12 minutes, until onion completely soft and sauce has reduced a bit. Stir occasionally.
Step 4
Add tomato sauce/diced tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes on low, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Add chili flakes, salt, nutritional yeast and milled flax seed. Blend with immersion blender.
Step 6
Cook pasta according to directions in salted water. Drain and rinse with cold water, return to pot.
Step 7
Add completed sauce to pasta. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Eat with mixed salad or steamed vegetables. Enjoy.
