As a kid on our deer lease my mom always made these as a snack after the morning hunt. She lost her notes so I have been playing with variations from her memory and my research.
This is a good biscuit with lots a sourdough taste.

Step 1
Mix flour, salt, soda, shortening
Add 2 coups sour dough
Mix well turn out on a floured surface, kneed 10 times, then roll, cut and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake 15 minutes @ 425◦F
