10 ozcarrots

5 ozwater chestnuts

Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, add beef. Sprinkle with baking soda. Add water and massage the beef so the ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside for 1-2 hours.
Step 2
Rinse the beef thoroughly under running water to get rid of excess baking soda. Once water runs clear, drain the beef to prepare for marinating.
Step 3
Add the marinade ingredients to the bowl and mix to coat beef. Let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
Step 4
Wash rice. Let washed rice soak in cool water for 20 minutes. Add rice, water and salt to an instant pot. Cook on rice setting. Keep warm.
Step 5

On medium high heat, sear beef for approximately 1 minute on each side. Set aside and keep warm.
Step 6

To make the sauce, in a medium bowl, combine sauce ingredients and whisk together.
Step 7

Over medium high heat, add oil to a large wok or saute pan. Add the broccoli, carrots, red pepper and water chestnuts. Cover and let cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 8

Stir in the sauce and beef. Let cook until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Add the green onions.
Step 9
Serve over rice. Garnish with sesame seeds.
