Haitian Style Fried Red Snapper

This was my favorite way to eat fish growing up! still is! fried that fish baby.

Instructions

Prepping the snapper

Step 1
add all the ingredients listed for prepping the snapper except for the water
juice of limejuice of lime1
distilled white vinegardistilled white vinegar
saltsalt
Step 2
using the lime to " scrub" the fish carefully, allow to sit for 15 min before rising under colder water

Marinating the snapper

Step 3
Add all the ingredients listed for marinating the snapper, make sure it gets all throughout the fish. allow to marinate for a minimum of 1 hour

Frying the snapper

Step 4
in large large skillet over medium to med-high heat add the oil and allow to get hot. around 350-360 degrees F

Coat the marinated snappers in some flour, shake off the excess and gently lay the snapper away from you.

Fry for about 10-14 minutes total depending on size. CAREFULLY FLIP HALF WAY THROUGH
Step 7
Serve with rice or whatever you see fit
