Instructions

Step 1
If using bacon, either slip all ingredients in half and cool half vegetarian and half with bacon. For the portion with bacon, you can start cooking the bacon in the same pan you will use for the cabbage. Cut cabbage into fine strips. Start cooking on stove in a little olive oil on medium heat. While the cabbage begins to cook, cut onions into fine strips and add to pan. Add garlic or garlic powder. Season to taste using spices. Slice apples also into strips. When cabbage and onion have softened (looking translucent) add apples. Cook for a few more minutes. When all is cooked, add lemon juice to taste and serve hot as side dish for recipe of your choice.
