Step 1
1. In a saucepan, mix the brown sugar, golden syrup, butter, and water and bring to a gentle boil

2. In a bowl, add the self-raising flour and butter and massage together until a sand like mixture forms

3. Add the milk and golden syrup and mix together using a spatula

4. Carefully spoon around 2 tablespoons of mixture into the boiling sauce mixture until no dumpling mixture is left

5. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through and fluffy

6. Serve the dumplings warm with icecream and a drizzle of the sauce mixture
