Mashed Fried Cabbage with bacon and Cheese

This is my favourite way to eat cabbage. It can be served as a Main meal or a side dish.

Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter in Medium Pot on medium heat, then add Diced cabbage. Fry Cabbage on low to medium heat until soft and brown. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to pan
Step 2
Add Bacon, Onions, Mushrooms and Potatoes. There will be some liquid forming from the Bacon and mushrooms which is perfectly fine. Just let it simmer and then fry until browned
Step 3
Add Cup of water and let it simmer over medium heat until Potatoes and Cabbage are cooked soft.
Step 4
Once Potatoes and Cabbage is cooked soft and most liquid evaporated turn heat off and mash Cabbage and Potatoes well
Step 5
Add Cheese, Pepper Baking powder and Salt mix in well until Cheese is melted
Step 6
This step is optional but you can add milk to give it a more fluffy texture which I recommend
Step 7
This is best served Hot
