Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 425
Step 2
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, half of the breadcrumbs, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix it well.
Step 3
Start by cutting a slit down the length of the sausage, being sure not to cut all the way to the bottom, and leaving about about ½ inch on either end uncut.
Step 4
Create an open gap by pressing the sausages into a boat shape, so it can be stuffed with the cheese stuffing
Step 5
Stuff the sausage with the cheese filling, pressing it into the opening you just created, and place the sausages in a 9x13 baking dish. (I recommend metal as the bottom of the sausages will crisp up a bit)
Step 6
Spoon the Marinara sauce all around the stuffed sausages, and overtop.
Step 7
Lastly, top with the mozzarella cheese and the remaining breadcrumbs and bake until the sausages reach 160 degrees (typically 30 minutes)
Step 8
OPTIONAL: Serve over your favorite cooked pasta OR with a side salad
