Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your waffle iron.
Step 2
While the waffle iron is preheating, in a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, vanilla extract, and eggs together. Pour over the flour mixture and whisk until combined (do not overmix). Gently whisk in melted butter.
Step 4
Ladle batter into the centre of your waffle iron, spreading it until there is about a centimetre before the edge, and close the iron. Cook the waffles until golden brown and crisp.
Step 5
Serve warm with maple syrup and butter as desired.
