Instructions

- Whisk together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract & 1-2 tbsp milk to make glaze

1. For the dough: Microwave the milk and butter together until the butter melts. Mixture should be warm, not hot.

2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt using the hook attachment. Add in the milk/butter mixture and mix on med-low for about 2 min.

3. Add in the egg then slowly increase the speed and continue mixing for 7min. If the dough is sticky add in 1-2 Tbsp of flour.

4. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 min. Place it into a greased bowl, cover and store in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

5. While the dough rises, make the apple filling:

Combine all ingredients in a pot placed over med-low heat. Let the mixture simmer for 7-8min, stirring frequently. Take off the heat and let mixture cool.

6. For the cinnamon filling: mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.

7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

8. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough into a long rectangle. Spread the 1/4 cup butter evenly onto the dough and top with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Spread the apple mixture evenly on top.

9. From the long end, roll dough into a tight roll. Use string to cut out 12 rolls.

10. Place rolls in a greased 9x13 inch pan.

11. Place in the oven for ~30min or until golden brown. Let them cool.
Step 16
12. Spread the glaze on top.
