Instructions

Mac and cheese

Step 1
Cook the noodles according package instructions.
Step 2
Melt the butter in the pot over medium heat.
Step 3
When the butter is melted add the flour and stir well with a whisk.
Step 4
Now add the milk sip by sip and always stir well. There should be no lumps.
Step 5
Add the cheese and salt. Mix well.
Step 6
Add the cheese and seasoning. Mix well.
Step 7
Place the pasta in a container and leave to cool in the freezer for approx. 30 mins.

Mac and cheese balls

Step 8
Place the egg, flour and panko in a separate bowl. Whisk the egg with a fork.
Step 9
Take a handful of the mac and cheese and shape it into a ball. Press them down firmly so that the ball is stable.
Step 10
Roll the ball first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs and place on a plate.
Step 11
Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the remaining mac and cheese.
Step 12
Heat the oil in a small pot.
Step 13
Add the mac and cheese balls one by one and fry for approx. 2-3 mins until crispy and golden brown.
