Step 1
Marinate the Chicken:

In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, ground garam masala, ground paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), minced garlic, and grated ginger.

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Cook the Chicken:

Preheat your grill or oven to high heat. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers (if grilling) or spread them out on a baking sheet (if baking).

Grill or bake the chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Stir in the heavy cream and yogurt, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
