Instructions

Buffalo chicken filling

Step 1
Cut the chicken into cubes.
Step 2
Heat the oil in the pan. Add the chicken and fry for 3 mins. Season with a little salt and pepper and fry for another 2-3 mins.
Step 3
Place the chicken in a bowl and pull apart with 2 forks or your hands.
Step 4
Now add the remaining ingredients and stir everything well.

Puff pastry pockets

Step 5
Cut the puff pastry into approx. 4-5 equal strips. Then cut them in half again in the middle to make a total of 8-10 equal rectangles.
Step 6
Score half of the rectangles again in the middle so that you can see the filling through later.
Step 7
Spoon some of the filling onto a rectangle, leaving the edges free.
Step 8
Then place a cut rectangle over the filling and press the sides together with a fork.
Step 9
Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the remaining puff pastry.
Step 10
Finally, whisk an egg and brush the puff pastry pockets with the egg.
Step 11
Bake the puff pastry pockets in a preheated oven at 220 degrees top/bottom heat for approx. 20 mins. until golden brown.

Cheese sauce

Step 12
In the meantime, you can prepare the cheese sauce. To do this, melt the butter on a medium-high heat.
Step 13
Then add the cream and bring to the boil briefly.
Step 14
Finally, add the cheese and stir everything well. If the sauce is too firm, add more cream, if it is too runny, add more cheese.
