Instructions
Step 1
In a skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Fry the plantain logs, rotating them.
Step 3
When the plantains are golden but not fully cooked, remove from the oil and let cool completely.
Step 4
On a cutting board, place one plantain log at a time. With another board press the plantain to form a circle of roughly 1/3 inch thick.
Step 5
Fry the pressed plantains until evenly brown.
Step 6
Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
Step 7
Season with salt.
Step 8
Serve hot or warm.
