Date paste, refined sugar substitute
1 step
Prep:10min
Date paste can be used in 1:1 ratio to replace refined sugar. Depending on which recipe you are using it for, you may need to adjust the liquid to dry ingredient ratio as well.
Freezing top from comments (@dalairem):
I like to freeze them in tablespoon-sized silicone cube trays, pop them into a freezer container and then pop out what I need (3-ish Tbs.=1/4 c.). For big batches, I freeze the cubes then use the vacuum sealer to portion off a couple cups worth per bag. Also, I add a little lemon juice to each batch to punch up the flavor and help it stay a little fresher when I do keep it in the fridge.
