Instructions
Step 1
Heat a wok and add ghee (clarified butter)
Step 2
Add bay leaf, star anise, cinnamon stick and stir for 5 seconds
Step 3
Add cumin seeds to this and stir until cumin starts turning to brown
Step 4
Remove this from the stove.
Step 5
To the Rice cooker add washed rice and 1.5 cups of water
Step 6
Add salt as required.
Step 7
To this add the heated cumin mixture and blend it well.
Step 8
Add 1/4 cups of water to the wok, and add this water to the rice.
Step 9
Switch the cooker to cook mode.
Step 10
Once it's done garnish with some coriander leaves
