Instructions

Step 1
Preheat a large cooking pan over medium-high heat and add oil. Season ground beef with garlic, onion, salt and pepper cook over medium-high heat until brown and almost done. Drain off exess grease.
Step 2
(Optional) Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes.
Step 3
In a bowl, add the remaining ingredients except sour scream and stir. Pour into pan with ground beef and bring to a simmer. Turn the heat to low and simmerfor an additional 5 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from heat. Add in the dairy-free sour cream if using.
Step 5
Serve over pasta, rice, mashed pototoes, or any other side you'd like
