Preheat oven to 175ยฐC

Beat the butter with the powdered sugar

Add the egg yolk

Stir in the flour and cornstarch

Shape into balls and using your index finger make a skull by gently pressing two eye indentations into the top half of each cookie and make a smile using a knife

Fill the eyes and the mouth with some cherry jam (or any jam of your choice)
