Cherry berry (breakfast) custard

This jam-packed berry breakfast treat takes its cues from the French clafoutis—a custard-like dish that rises up around juicy fruit. It's sweet enough to satisfy a morning craving but won't send you crashing mid-morning—plus, it's easy to make on a lazy Sunday morning but also beautiful for impressing guests.
Chef's Notes
You can mix and match 3 cups of any frozen fruit in this simple dish. Try mango and pineapple for a tropical twist.

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously coat a 2-quart baking dish with butter and dust with 1 tablespoon sugar. Process eggs, milk, melted butter, and remaining 4 tablespoons sugar in a blender until smooth, about 1 minute. Add flour and salt and pulse until well combined, about 15 pulses. Spoon batter into prepared baking dish. Arrange berries and cherries over batter. Bake until custard is puffed and just set in center, about 45 minutes. Remove from oven; let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
