Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Step 2

While oven is preheating, gather ingredients
Step 3

Once oven is preheated, place sausage on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place into oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until internal temp reaches 165 degrees F. Once cooked, remove from oven and set aside. Let cool for a few minutes and cut up sausage into slices. Leave aside to be incorporated at a later step
Step 4

While sausage is cooking, start cutting the onion. Place a small amount of butter into a deep saucepan and coat onions. Cook with lid for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally
Step 5

Remove onion from pan and place aside. *I like my onions slightly underdone. They will continue to cook at a later step. I cook my onions until they are very soft and slightly yellow
Step 6

Repeat same steps with the peppers. Place a small amount of butter into same saucepan and coat peppers. Cook with lid on and stir occasionally. Cook for about 7-9 minutes until peppers are softened
Step 7

Once peppers are soft, add sliced garlic to middle and cook about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 8

After a minute, stir garlic into the peppers and add Italian seasoning
Step 9

Add onions and sausage back into pan, and stir. Add lid and let simmer on low/medium with lid for about 10 minutes.
Step 10

All done :)
