Instructions

Step 1
Stir the dried yeast and sugar into the milk and let it stand for a while.

Sift the flour into a mixing bowl and add a pinch of salt.

Slowly pour in the milk with yeast and beat with a mixer with dough hooks to a sticky batter.

Mix in the egg and then stir in the apple pieces.

Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for an hour.
Step 6
The batter should then be about doubled.
Step 7
Heat the sunflower oil to 180 degrees.

Spoon a ball of batter into the hot oil with oil-moistened spoons (or an ice cream spoon).
Step 9
After a few seconds you will see the oliebol get a little bigger and it will float to the top. Turn regularly. After about 6 minutes, the oliebollen are golden brown and cooked inside.

Drain them on kitchen paper and sprinkle with icing sugar.
